Responsive full width slider with text

This slider is now avalable with our Free Website Creator! Free for commercial use. The main jquery slideshow has no frame or border, but it has a shadow below the slider responsive which helps lift it up from the website background and give it some depth.

Hovering over the slider lets two navigational arrows appear, one on each side. The arrow consists of a white arrow head with a black semi-transparent circle outlined with a thin white border. Hovering over the arrow makes the arrow stand out more with its less transparency. Clicking on an arrow cycles you through the images. There is a caption in the left corner at the responsive slideshow bottom. The white description on a black rectangle is called the main title that shows up directly from the slider edge.

The main title slides into its place from any direction. The sub-title is black description on a white rectangle, that shows up directly from the side of the slider. The use of rounded squares makes it look almost futuristic.

Overall, the letters are large and open, helping the text remain very legible. Down the image slideshow right side are a series of square preview images, stacked vertically. Each one has a thick white border. When the preview image linked to the picture currently on display is highlighted, the border turns black.

Hovering over the preview images scrolls through them. Clicking on a preview image allows you to navigate directly to the picture you want to look at. Because the preview images take up some of the width of the slider, the slider design works well for less panoramic images than many sliders.

This transition effect splits the image into three rectangles and each rectangle has the new image slide into place. Because of this websites clean and modern design, this slider would work well on technology websites, software companies and websites about modern architecture.

It would also be a great choice for science-fiction authors and any website about outer space or future thinking.

Please advise, I have updates that I can't get published with my copy of WOW slider as it says I have an unregistered copy now I've installed, and registered it twice on my Windows 10 computer and can't get it to open a project OR even start a new project. Please note that your project file doesn't contain images, in keeps the paths to them only, and if your these paths aren't valid now, your images won't be shown. You can open your project file in a text editor and check the paths.

I had to rebuild the slideshow from scratch into a new one, and it worked. All seems well now.Note: I'm still developing this tip, so it hasn't been tested extensively and isn't yet available as an option in Divi Booster. Here's a quick tip for positioning the slide text on individual slides with the Divi Theme 's full width slider.

Suppose you start with a full-width slider with a background image and some text, similar to that shown in the featured image above. Divi has an option in the slide settings to toggle the vertical alignment between centered and bottom-aligned. However, if you want more control over the text position, you will need to resort to CSS. For example to align the slider text to the top right corner of the slide, we can add the following into the slide's custom CSS field for the slide description:.

Breaking it down, there are two components. First, we can easily control the horizontal alignment by setting the "text-align" property to either "left", "right", or "center". Controlling the vertical alignment, especially to top-align the text is slightly trickier.

We can do this by changing the top and bottom padding of the slider description. Great, thank you. I was just trying to resolve this on my own Divi slider and got stuck. I did a Google search and came across this post. Thanks so much for posting this and contributing to the Divi world!

Hi, Your tutorials are great! I am new to divi and still learning atm one thing i am having problems with is the text overlay of a slider! Many Thanks Simon. Hi Simon, do you mean you want to overlay the entire slide with a color, rather than just having a small box around the text as you get with the "Text Overlay" option?

If so, then you can simply use the "Use Background Overlay" option which is located just above the "Use Text Overlay" option in the slide's "Design" tab. The background overlay is similar to the text overlay, but the overlay will be as large as the slider itself i. You can then use the font size options, etc, to make the title and description bigger if you'd like. Or have I misunderstood what you're after?

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, i have now managed to get the slider to show how i wanted. It was kinda of half and half! I wanted the overlay to not be the full height as in a background overlay, i just wanted the middle portion where the text is to have the overlay basically show up text better without changing whole image but i wanted this overlay to cover the full width.Develop breathtaking picture sliders fully in CSS.

The slider is completely responsive, quick to load, and works on any device with a modern browser. It has a blue and white color scheme that is extremely attractive. The user can navigate through the slideshow in two ways. The first is to use the series of bullets at the center-bottom of the slideshow.

This is a common kind of navigation that many people will already be familiar with. Each circle represents an image in the slideshow, and is highlighted when that image displays. The circles themselves are simple and blue, with a very clean appearance.

When highlighted, the circle turns transparent with a blue border. Hovering over a circle brings up a preview of the slide. This slider is now avalable with our Free Website Creator!

Free for commercial use. If you want a high-impact, attention grabbing slider design for your website then you would be hard-pressed to find something better than this template from WOWSlider. With a large full-width area, this slider puts your images front and foremost, meaning they grab the viewers attention straight away. Because the images take up so much space, they need to be great, attractive photographs. This slider would be great for a travel company, that can use stunning landscapes to sell their holidays, or a fashion website that sells statement clothes and accessories.

The actual slider elements, such as the navigation arrows and captions are fairly simple. This is so they do detract from the images. The navigation consists of two dark-grey squares, one to the far left and one to the far right of the slider. Each square displays a blue arrow. The arrow is a simple and clear design. Hovering over the arrow, causes the square to flip over like a dice and reveal another side. The colors on this side of the cub are inverted, with a blue square and grey arrow. The bullet navigation at the bottom of the slider has a similar style.

When you hover over the square, it turns over like a cube and becomes blue. You also get a preview of the image connected to the bullet, and clicking the bullet will load the image into the slider.

There is a caption for each image, that appears in the bottom-left corner of the slider. This caption consists of a title and a sub-title on a dark grey square. The caption fades into view with the image — a simple and elegant transition that does not distract from the images. The title is in all-caps, and is larger than the sub-title. The caption uses the font Gurajada, which is a simple but bold hand-writing font.

It is clear and easy to read. The slider can have any number of transition effects applied via WOWSlider, however the one chosen in this demo — basic linear — has the advantage of being fast, simple and effective. Overall, this is a slick and powerful design that is perfect for any company that wants to put images front and foremost on their website. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it works this way with. This slider has a simple but fun design that uses white and blue, a combination that feels neutral but friendly. Because the design only uses CSS, it is incredibly quick to load. The design is responsive and able to be displayed on almost any platform, even ones with javascript disabled.

The slideshow does not have a rack, which allows the images to be the main focus. On mouseover it brings up two navigational arrows. They seem to spin into place from four small dots, a fun transition that is eye-catching. Moving off the slider area causes them to spin away, and collapse back into the four small dots, which then vanish.

The navigational arrow is white, and has a slightly rounded feel which again helps reinforce the fun and friendly feel. It is contained within a transparent circle with a white border. You can also navigate through the images by using the series of white circles towards the bottom of the slide. These circles have a transparent border and then a white border - which creates a 'double circle' appearance.

Each circle represents an image slide. It turns blue, gains a white circle around it and then a semi-transparent white border around that, creating a triple-circle effect that is reminiscent of a dartboard or other target.

Hovering over a circle will bring up a preview image in a white frame, that also has a white arrow at the bottom pointing to the appropriate circle. This preview image zooms into place with a slight bounce, in the same way as the captions do. There is the ability to display a caption in the left corner at the bottom. This comprises of a title and a subtitle. The title is blue text on a white rectangle with rounded corners. The subtitle is white text on a rectangle with rounded corners, that has a white border.

Both zoom into place, with a small bounce at the end of the zoom as they achieve the right size. Again it feels fun and friendly. The odds are, you have not truly optimized it for mobile devices, you used the automated device settings.
